Safety Tips
Your safety is our priority. Read these tips to enjoy a safe and pleasant online dating experience.
1. Before Meeting
- 1
Chat for a while before accepting a date. Get to know the person online before meeting them.
- 2
Have a video call before the meeting. It's a great way to confirm that the person matches the profile.
- 3
Never share sensitive personal information such as home address, workplace or financial details.
- 4
Check the person's social profiles if they share them. It can help you verify their identity.
- 5
Trust your instincts. If something doesn't feel right, don't feel obligated to continue.
2. During the Date
- 1
Always choose a public place for the first date: a bar, a restaurant or a busy park.
- 2
Arrange your own transport. Don't rely on the other person to get home.
- 3
Tell a friend or family member where you're going, who with and when you expect to be back.
- 4
Share your live location with someone you trust.
- 5
Never leave your drink or personal belongings unattended.
3. Online Protection
- 1
Use a unique, strong password for your E-Raiden account.
- 2
Never send money to people you meet online, for any reason.
- 3
Beware of suspicious links shared in chat. Don't click on links you don't trust.
- 4
Immediately report fake profiles or suspicious behaviour using the "Report" button.
- 5
Do not share intimate photos with people you don't know well. These images could be misused.
4. Recognising Red Flags
- 1
Do they immediately ask to move to another messaging app? That could be a red flag.
- 2
Avoid anyone who pushes for an immediate meeting without wanting to chat first.
- 3
Be wary of overly dramatic stories or requests for financial help.
- 4
If someone refuses a video call or dodges direct questions, be cautious.
- 5
Watch out for possessive or controlling behaviour already visible in chat.
