Statement last reviewed on 2026-04-20

E-Raiden is committed to making its website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities, in compliance with the European Accessibility Act (EAA, Directive (EU) 2019/882, in force since 28 June 2025), the European standard EN 301 549 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

Conformance Status

Status: partially conformant.

E-Raiden is currently partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA criteria. The site has not yet undergone a formal audit, and some parts of the interface have known issues (see the "Known Limitations" section below). We are actively working to close these gaps.

Technical Specifications

The accessibility of E-Raiden relies on the following technologies and standards:

  • Technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, WAI-ARIA 1.2
  • Reference standards: WCAG 2.1 Level AA (W3C), ISO/IEC 40500:2012
  • Harmonised European standard: EN 301 549 V3.2.1
  • Regulatory framework: European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882)

Compatibility

E-Raiden is designed to work with modern browsers and common assistive technologies. We have not yet carried out formal testing across all combinations, but the site is developed with the following environments in mind:

  • Browsers: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Microsoft Edge (last two versions)
  • Operating systems: Windows 10+, macOS 12+, iOS 16+, Android 12+
  • Assistive technologies: support is intended for NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver and TalkBack; systematic screen-reader testing is currently limited

Known Limitations

In the interest of transparency, we declare the following known limitations that we are aware of. These will be addressed in upcoming releases:

  • Colour contrast: some links use our brand pink-500 on a light background, which in some contexts may fall below the 4.5:1 minimum ratio required by WCAG 2.1 AA (SC 1.4.3). Fix planned for the next release.
  • Skip link: the page does not yet include a "skip to main content" link for screen reader and keyboard users. On the roadmap.
  • Formal audit: no formal third-party accessibility audit has been carried out yet. Planned for Q2 2026.
  • Screen reader testing: systematic testing with NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver and TalkBack is currently limited and will be expanded.
  • Multimedia content: photos uploaded by users may lack descriptive alternative text. We are evaluating assistance tools for caption authoring.
